Because children, though adorable and lovable, and the light of our lives are keen saboteurs. They unknowingly throw crap our way that we have no clue how to handle. Though they may not be smirking about "let's see how she figures this one out", they are simply little saboteurs. They toss all of our pre-conceived (pun totally intended) ideas of what motherhood would be like out the window upon their birth, and I'm pretty sure they don't stop until they have kids of their own. Then they need our help, because after all, we managed to raise their crazy little butts.
